I am a software engineer and data scientist who has been building his career in Hillsboro for the last twenty years. I love this community that has helped me and my wife raise our children. We have it so good here. I enjoy the fantastic natural wonders and recreational activities we have here in Oregon.

Over the last 7 years, I have become concerned about the direction our local schools have headed. I know many parents who agree with me that they are serving our children's needs less and less. I became involved with the school board. I was appointed to the Citizens' Curriculum Advisory Committee five years ago. I ran for school board in 2021.

I advocate for parental rights, rigorous STEM education that is attainable by all who want it, transparency, and protection of our freedoms.

  • I think our schools serve our students best when they partner with their parents to help them reach their individual potentials. Our schools need to return to this partnership.
  • We need to protect our freedoms. So much of what we have seen in the last two years shows us that our government has too much latitude to declare emergencies and seize control of our lives unnecessarily. We need to correct this pattern.
  • I am less fluent in the struggles of the small business owner, but I will listen to and support them. They are an important part of our communities, and we need to keep them around.
I am passionate about keeping control of our institutions such as schools as local as possible. I disagree with our school board all the time, but as long as it as them making the decisions and implementing the policies they create, we can hold them accountable every two years.
