Joseph G. "Joe" Foster is a judge of the Twentieth Circuit Court in Charlotte County, Florida. He was elected in 2012 and took office on January 8, 2013. His current term expires in 2019.[1][2]

Education

Foster received his B.A. degree (History) from the University of Michigan in 1989 and his J.D. degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 1997.[3]

Career

Foster spent three years as a Fraternity Coordinator for the University of Michigan Alumni Interfraternity Council, three years as an associate attorney with Ulmer & Berne, LLP, and then three years as an associate attorney with Cummings & Lockwood, LLP. In 2004, he became a partner of Porter, Wright, Morris & Arthur, LLP. He worked in that capacity until his judicial election in 2012.[3]

2012 election

Foster was elected on Aug. 14, 2012, defeating M.C. Fernandez III with 60.3% of the vote.[2][4]
