Joe Ganim
Joe Ganim (Democratic Party) ran for election for Governor of Connecticut. He lost in the Democratic primary on August 14, 2018.

Biography
Ganim graduated from the University of Connecticut in 1981 with a degree in political science and government. He went on to attend University of Bridgeport School of Law, graduating in 1983 with a focus on corporate and tax law. After his graduation, Ganim joined Ganim & Ganim Attorneys at Law, serving as a general practice lawyer with the firm until 2003. Ganim was elected mayor of Bridgeport in 1991 and served in the office until his resignation in 2003 following his arrest on charges of extortion, bribery, and tax evasion. Following his release from prison in 2010, Ganim established Ganim Consulting LLC and served as a political consultant.[1][2]
