Joe Goff Jr. was an associate judge of the 24th Judicial Circuit Court in Missouri. He was appointed by Governor Jay Nixon (D) on April 25, 2015, following Judge Wendy Wexler Horn's transition from an associate judge to a circuit judge.[1] Goff resigned from the court on September 5, 2021.[2]

Goff ran for election in 2016. He was unopposed in the Democratic primary on August 2, 2016. The general election took place on November 8, 2016.[3]

Education

Goff received a bachelor's degree from Southeast Missouri State University and a J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law.[1]

Career

At the time of his appointment to the circuit court, Goff was an assistant prosecuting attorney for St. Francois County. He has served as assistant attorney general and has been a private attorney with the law firm Reeves & Goff.[1]

Missouri held general elections for local judicial offices on November 8, 2016. A primary election took place on August 2, 2016. The filing deadline for those wishing to run in the primary was March 29, 2016. Judges running in a retention election on November 8 had to file by August 23.[4] Incumbent Joe Goff Jr. ran unopposed in the Missouri 24th Circuit associate judge general election.[3]
