Joe Graves (South Dakota)
Joe Graves is the South Dakota Secretary of Education. He assumed office on January 10, 2023. His current term ends on January 4, 2027.
On January 3, 2023, Graves was appointed South Dakota Secretary of Education by Gov. Kristi Noem to replace Tiffany Sanderson.[1]
Biography
Joe Graves was born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and lives in South Dakota. Graves earned a B.S. in political science, psychology, and sociology from South Dakota State University, a master’s in history from the University of South Dakota, as well as several education administration degrees from Drake University, and a teaching certificate from the University of Iowa. His career experience includes working as a school superintendent of the Mitchell School District.[2]
