Biography
Joe Hancock was born in Big Timber, Montana. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 2002 to 2008. He earned bachelor's degrees from Montana State University-Bozeman in 2015 and in 2020.[1]

|- As the representative for this district, my focus will never wander from the people of Belgrade, and I will strive to give them the tools they need to live the good life in Big Sky Country.
- I understand that the people are the driving force behind the county's prosperity, and I am proud to be a fellow member of the working class. I believe that fairness is the most stable foundation for building a community, because undeserved opportunities only build walls between people.
- Freedom is the value upon which a fair, thriving community must be built, because if the people are not free to breathe, the tree of prosperity will inevitably wilt and die.
Rent is so high that people can’t afford to live where they work, and the American dream of owning a home is now reserved for the rich. Communities will suffer if local families can’t afford to stay in their neighborhoods.
Educating Montana’s children is the first step toward providing them with the right tools for building a good life. The leaders in their classrooms need to be properly qualified and paid accordingly.
The best part of Montana is the great outdoors, but urban sprawl, droughts, and fires are making the wilderness harder to enjoy every year. Better conservation efforts are critical to curbing this trend so future generations will still have a nature to experience.
