Joe Haynes
Joe Haynes was a Democratic member of the Tennessee State Senate. He served in the Tennessee Senate from 1985-2012.
Haynes graduated with his Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tennessee in 1959 and his Juris Doctor degree from Nashville Law in 1965. He is a retired attorney.
On February 3, 2012, Haynes announced he would not run for re-election in 2012.[1][2]

Haynes announced in February 2012 that he would not seek re-election to the Tennessee State Senate. His district was drawn to be more Republican during the redistricting process.[1][3][4]
2008
On Nov. 4, 2008, Haynes won re-election to the 20th District Seat in the Tennessee State Senate, defeating opponent David Hall (R).[5]
Haynes raised $192,802 for his campaign while Hall raised $28,517.[6]
