Joe Matika

Joe Matika is a judge on the Carbon County Court of Common Pleas in Pennsylvania. He was elected to the court in 2011 and his term expires in 2021.
Education
Matika earned his undergraduate degree from King's College in 1984. He earned his J.D. at the University of Bridgeport School of Law in 1987.[1][2]
Career
After his admission to the bar, Matika began a private practice in his hometown. In 1994 Joe accepted an invitation to join the Carbon County District Attorney's Office.[2]

2011 election
Matika won both parties' primaries on May 17. He received 59.4% in the Democratic primary and 55% of the vote in the Republican primary.[3] He has cross-filed with the Democratic and Republican parties. He was elected after running unopposed in the general election November 8, 2011.[4]
