McDaniel's campaign website stated the following:

The first and only criteria that will matter to me as your representative is this: is it good for East Texas? That might mean that I buck the party leadership. It might mean that I make a few big money people angry who are accustomed to buying their influence. If it’s not right for East Texas, then it won’t get my vote or my support.
God gives us the right to protect and defend ourselves. The 2nd Amendment protects us from a government that would try to take that away. East Texans use guns to protect our families. This is very simple: no one anywhere in our federal government has any business telling East Texans how to manage our guns.
America is a free country. People belonging to a vaccine hesitancy group is nothing new. It's not anyone's business if someone is vaccinated or not. Your body is your body. No one should put anything in your body that you don’t want in your body. That shouldn’t be controversial at all.
Killing an unborn as a tool for birth control will never be acceptable to me. Abortion is murder. Every pregnant woman calls her baby a baby and talks to her baby while in the womb. Let’s stop pretending it’s not a living human being.
We suffer inflation today in part because the government has over-maxed out its credit card. If we have to live within our means, so should the government. That’s just common sense.
Without spying on us, the government should act to protect our freedoms on the Internet. I will always support free speech.
“Like birds hovering overhead, the Lord Almighty will shield Jerusalem; he will shield it and deliver it, he will ‘pass over’ it and will rescue it.”” Isaiah 31:5 NIV
As Biden destroys our economy, he hurts your family. This fight is personal and I won’t back down from getting the government off your back.
Unchecked government spending and a Federal Reserve printing hundreds of billions of dollars a month have caused inflation to get away from us. It's time to stop the madness!
We need safer neighborhoods, which starts with support of the family and support of our good peace officers who protect our streets. I also wholeheartedly support our veterans. God bless the families of our first responders and military.
Why do social media companies get to dictate what we can and cannot say online? Silicon Valley's power has gone unchecked for too long.
Too many have been allowed across our border without knowing who they are or what their intentions might be. Enforcing existing border law is right and Democrats are completely wrong. Finish the wall. Secure the border.
Per the 10th Amendment, education is the jurisdiction of Texas – not the federal government. I will fight to get D.C. out of Texas classrooms.
One person, one vote. That’s common sense. Knowing that every vote comes from a valid voter is essential to our future.
Trump had it right and Biden has it wrong. America must be energy independent. The federal government and the EPA should be constrained and allow Texas to do what Texas does best: drill and produce oil/gas to once again gain independence.
Again, the federal government has no business in Texas classrooms. Neither does a racist curriculum, which is what CRT is.
All people, regardless of race, deserve to have equal opportunity in this country. It's time our diverse district elected a uniter, not a divider. We are all fighting for a better America.
The government is constituted to protect your life, liberty, and property. That’s the proper order. It shouldn’t be that we have to fight that government to protect our life, liberty, or property.
Permanently reducing taxes can only happen once we ween the government off it's all-you-can-eat cash buffet. Politicians, regardless of party, have shown they are willing to spend our county into oblivion. Not me!
The idea that California or New York have any say in how Texans manage their lives is absurd. We not only need to take back the House in DC, we need to shrink its footprint on our lives here in East Texas.
We are sick and tired of ineffective, lazy career politicians in D.C. No one should serve more than 12 years in office. [2] |
