Joe Moreno (Illinois)
Joe Moreno was a member of the Chicago City Council in Illinois, representing Ward 1. He assumed office in 2010. He left office on May 20, 2019.
Moreno ran for election to the Chicago City Council to represent Ward 1 in Illinois. He lost in the general election on February 28, 2023.
Moreno was a 2018 Democratic candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 4th Congressional District of Illinois.[1] However, he dropped out of the race on January 30, 2018.[2]

The city of Chicago, Illinois, held elections for city council on February 24, 2015. The filing deadline for candidates who wished to run in this election was November 24, 2014.[3] In the general election for Ward 1, incumbent Joe Moreno defeated Anne Shaw, Andrew Hamilton and Ronda Locke.[4][5] Mia Lena Lopez was removed from the ballot in December 2014.[6]
