Nardini ran as part of a candidate slate with fellow challenger Christopher Raimann.[3] Raimann also won election to the board.[1]

Three of the nine seats on the Toms River Regional Schools school board were up for general election on November 3, 2015.[4] The seats of incumbents Joseph Torrone, Gigi Esparza, and Ginny Rhine were on the ballot.[5]
Challengers Joe Nardini and Christopher Raimann defeated Rhine and Torrone for the two Toms River Township seats. Nardini and Raimann ran together as a candidate slate. South Toms River Borough incumbent Esparza won re-election without opposition. Al Caporaso originally filed to run in this race, but he withdrew before the election.[1][6]

Funding
Nardini ran as part of the "Raimiann & Nardini CTE" slate, which reported $11,626.00 in contributions and $4,304.81 in expenditures to the New Jersey Election Law Enforcement Commission in the election.[7]
The first campaign finance reporting deadline was October 5, 2015. Candidates had to file another report on October 23, 2015, and the last report was due November 23, 2015.[8]

Nothing is more important to him than a quality education for his family. Joe: A family man and one of the last true gentleman you will ever meet. A Toms River businessman for over 40 years. Joe is happily married for 41 years and has three children, seven grandchildren and one on the way. His oldest daughter and son in law are teachers in the district. Six of his grandchildren currently attend Toms River Schools with two more soon to follow.
