I have lived in the Kansas City area the majority of my life and currently live in Grain Valley, Missouri. My wife Renee and I were high school sweethearts and have been married for 40 years. I am a strong Constitutional Conservative. I respect all life and all people at every stage of life. I believe life begins at conception and that life should be cherished and protected. I value limited government, fiscal responsibility, personal freedom, individual property ownership and rights, personal health care choice, school choice and adequate funding for police and fire for a safe and secure society; for without security, there is no freedom. When I joined the US Navy Seabees in 1984, I took a lifelong oath to protect this nation from enemies both foreign and domestic. I owned a profitable small business for nearly a decade. I served as a youth minister and I worked for the Blue Springs School District for 17 years while pastoring a church. I am also an author of two theological books. I have volunteered as a mentor to young men with the Youth Friends Organization. I have also volunteered with Habit for Humanity, the Salvation Army, City Union Mission, the Independence School District and several other non-profits over a couple of decades. In all, I have over forty years of ministry and business leadership experience including leading teams overseas for ministry and humanitarian purposes. I currently pastor a church and I lead a pastor's prayer group.

Scorecards

See also: State legislative scorecards and State legislative scorecards in Missouri

A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.

Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
