Joe Tolson
Joe P. Tolson (b. April 15, 1941) is a former Democratic member of the North Carolina House of Representatives, representing District 23 from 1996 to January 1, 2015.
Tolson did not run for re-election to the House in 2014.
Biography
Tolson received a B.S. from Atlantic Christian College. He is a retired educator.

Tolson ran for re-election in 2012. He defeated William Solomon, Jr. in the May 8, 2012, Democratic primary. He was unchallenged in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[1][2][3]

On November 2, 2010, Tolson won re-election to the North Carolina House of Representatives. He had no primary opposition and defeated Garland Shepheard in the general election on November 2, 2010.[4][5]
