Pirillo lost to Democratic incumbnet Dennis Black by a margin of 13,517 to 12,321 in the November 2 general election.[1]

In the June 8 primary election, Pirillo faced candidates Wes Enos (1,497) and Michael Adams (960). Pirillo won the election with 1,898 votes.[2]
