Two of the seven seats on the Bentonville School District school board were up for general election on September 20, 2016. In Zone 3, challenger Eric White defeated incumbent Grant Lightle and former board member Beth Haney. Joe Quinn was the sole candidate to file in the Zone 7 race. The election was canceled due to lack of opposition and Quinn was automatically re-elected.[1]
