Joseph G. Scoville was a federal magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the Western District of Michigan. He was appointed to this position in 1988 and he retired from the bench in 2014.[1][2]

Education

Judge Scoville received his B.A. degree from Michigan State University in 1971 and his J.D. degree from The University of Michigan Law School in 1974.[3]

Career

Judge Scoville began his career in 1974 with the Chicago law firm of McDermott, Will & Emory. In 1976, he moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan to join the firm Warner, Norcross & Judd.[3]
