Career
Skolarsky serves as the assistant county public defender for Luzerne County. He has also worked as a private practice attorney.[1]
2011 election
Sklarosky won the Republican and Democratic party primaries on May 17. He received 8.3% in the Democratic primary and 7.8% of the vote in the Republican primary.[2] He was elected in the general election on November 8, receiving 15.2% of the vote.[3]

Campaign finance
Sklarosky spent almost $100,000 during the course of the campaign, including almost $15,500 on direct mail services from Precision Design. He reported $81,000 in loans from attorney Thomas L. Kennedy and a line of credit at Luzerne National Bank which could be utilized up to $75,000.[4]
