Joe Spatola
Joe Spatola was a nonpartisan candidate for Governor of Hawaii in the 2014 elections.[1] He withdrew from the race in June when the Hawaii Office of Elections disqualified several nonpartisan candidates from the ballot. The disqualifications took place because the nonpartisan gubernatorial candidates did not have running mates in the lieutenant gubernatorial election, which is required by the Hawaii Constitution.[2]
