Van Wye's website highlighted the following campaign themes:
“ | Marriage
I believe marriage should be between a man and a women. Marriage should not be redefined into something different than what it has been for thousands of years. I support HJR-3 Second Amendment I believe in the right to bear arms and will oppose any legislation that will make it harder for any law abiding citizen to own guns. Immigration I have no problem with legal immigration. When people go through the proper steps they should be considered and granted citizenship. When people break our laws and come into our country illegally, they should be subject to our immigration laws. Amnesty is not fair to the people who went through the naturalization process. Right to Life I believe that life begins at conception. I do not support any taxpayer funding of abortions, and I support the Hyde Amendment.[13][12] |
