Joel E. Swanson

Joel E. Swanson was a senior judge for District 2B of Iowa. He was appointed as a district judge in 1992, and retired in the fall of 2012.[1]
Education
Swanson received both his undergraduate and law ('67) degrees from the University of Iowa and he served in the Iowa National Guard from 1964 to 1969.[1]
Career
Swanson worked as a private practice lawyer in Lake City and as a Calhoun County attorney before joining the district court in 1992.[1]
