Joel Penoyar
Joel Penoyar was a judge of the Washington Court of Appeals, Division II. He was appointed by Governor Chris Gregoire in 2005 and retired from the court on February 28, 2014.[1][2][3]
Education
Penoyar received his law degree from the University of Oregon in 1974. [2][1]
Career
After law school, from 1974 to 1988, Penoyar worked as a general practice attorney, a city attorney for South Bend, and a part time district court judge and superior court commissioner. In 1988, he was elected to the Superior Court for Pacific and Wahkiakum Counties. Penoyar held this position until his appointment to the Washington Court of Appeals in 2005.[1]
2012 election
Penoyar was re-elected to the Washington Court of Appeals after running unopposed.[4][5][6]
