Joel Winch
Joel Winch (1835-1880) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.
He received a recess appointment from President Ulysses Grant on October 11, 1870 and was nominated on December 15, 1870. The nomination was not confirmed by the Senate, so his service ended on March 3, 1871.[1] Winch was succeeded in this position by Amos Morrill.
