Johanna L. Fitzpatrick
Johanna L. Fitzpatrick was a judge for the Virginia Court of Appeals. She served as a judge from September 3, 1992 until her retirement from the court on April 1, 2006. Fitzpatrick served as the court's chief judge from 1997 to 2006.[1][2]
Education
Fitzpatrick received her undergraduate degree from Tufts University and her J.D. from the Catholic University of America.[3]
Career
Before she joined the Virginia Court of Appeals, Fitzpatrick served as a circuit court judge for the 19th Judicial Circuit from 1982 to 1992. She also previously served as a district court judge for the 19th Judicial District's Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court from 1980 to 1982.[1]
