John A. Danaher III is a judge for the Litchfield District Superior Court in Connecticut.[1] Danaher was appointed to the court by Governor Mary Jodi Rell in March 2010.[2] His current term expires in 2018.[3]
Education
Danaher received his undergraduate degree from Fairfield University in 1972, a master's degree from the University of Harvard in 1977, and his J.D., also from the University of Hartford, in 1980.[4][2]
Career
At the time of his appointment to the bench, Danaher was the commissioner of the Department of Public Safety. He previously worked for 20 years as an assistant United States attorney and as an interim United States attorney. Danaher also practiced law privately with the firm Day, Berry & Howard from 1981 to 1986.[2]
