John A. Gyorgy was a 2014 candidate for the 23rd District Court in Wayne County, Michigan.[1]

Gyorgy ran for election to the 23rd District Court.
Primary: He was defeated in the primary on August 5, 2014, receiving 5.5 percent of the vote. He competed against Magistrate Warren Waterman, Kathleen A. Tulacz, Joseph D. Slaven, and Aaron T. Speck.

Education
Gyorgy received his undergraduate degree in political science from Wayne State University in 1974 and his J.D. from the University of Detroit Law School in 1977.[3]
Career
Gyorgy has worked as a private practice attorney, an assistant municipal attorney and township prosecutor for Brownstown, and a prosecutor for the City of Southgate. From 2007 to 2008, he served as a magistrate of the 23rd District Court, following an appointment.[3][4]
