John A. McCarthy was a superior court judge for the Pierce County Superior Court in Pierce County, Washington.[1] He served as a judge for the court from 1997 until his retirement from the bench on December 1, 2014.[2][3]
Education
McCarthy received his undergraduate degree from Seattle University and his J.D. degree from the University of San Francisco.[4]

2012 evaluation
The Tacoma-Pierce County Bar Association placed McCarthy as 15th out of the 22 Pierce County judges, giving him a 79.0% positive rating.[5]
