Noteworthy cases
Abortion waiting period
Judge Murphy ruled on July 15, 1994, that regarding PA 133, "the 24-hour waiting period/so called “informed consent” law is unconstitutional by violating privacy rights and forces local governments to spend money without repayment from the state."[5] This ruling struck down Michigan's 1993 law requiring women seeking abortions to delay 24 hours after receiving state-mandated information.[6][7]
