John A. Swenson ran unsuccessfully for judge of the Catron County Magistrate Court in New Mexico in 2010.

He ran for election to the Catron County Magistrate Court in 2014.[1]

Primary: He ran unopposed in the Republican primary on June 3, 2014.
General: He was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 30.5 percent of the vote. He competed against Clayton T. Atwood. [1][2] 

2010

Swenson ran unopposed in the Republican primary, but lost against Clayton T. Atwood in the general election receiving only 35.7% of the vote.[3]
