My name is John Adair, and I'm reaching out to share my vision and commitment as I seek to serve as your Representative in Congress in D.C. from SW Missouri, 7th District. Throughout my career as a Restoration/General Contractor and Catastrophic Insurance Claims Adjuster, I've restored homes and businesses in 34 states, ensuring families and companies could recover and rebuild after disasters. Now, I'm setting my sights on a different kind of restoration project: our Federal Government in Washington D.C. I have traversed the country, witnessing firsthand the resilience of the American spirit. Yet, I've observed a pressing need for a government that truly serves its people--not the other way around. Driven by a calling that transcends personal ambition. I'm stepping forward to represent you as a voice from SW Missouri, a voice for the hardworking everyday American. I also want to introduce my new wife, Natalia dos Santos Adair. We were married on 5.29.24. She is from Brazil and we are working on getting her passports and visas for her and the 5 children so we can live here together as a family in Missouri. I lost my 1st wife, Sylvia of 31 1/2 years of marriage in July of 2023 to cancer. We raised our 3 children, Hannah, David, and Danielle here in Missouri.
  • Tax Reform: Let's simplify our tax system. Imagine a fair tax structure where everyone pays the same rate-a sales tax that covers all, eliminating the IRS and all the complexities of our current tax code. "We are going to kill the IRS," isn't just a statement-it's a plan.
  • Revitalizing Our Communities: I'm committed to economic redevelopment for rural areas, small towns, and major cities. We need actionable plans that involve every segment of our communities-from small businesses to large enterprises- creating zones of prosperity and innovation
  • Implementing Term Limits- 10 years for House members and 12 years for Senate members- we can ensure fresh ideas and perspectives in government
I am wanting to see the Federal Government become efficient in the the true multi-state services its provides-Defense, State Department, Dept. of Transportation and the Department of Interior. I believe a lot of the other Federal departments are repetitive and Housing, Education, Agriculture, Energy, Commerce, can be handled more efficiently at the State Government Level, to maximize the tax dollars to go to the communities within each state. I will work to see the Federal Government return to its original intent to serve the true interstate issues and national issues only.
I respect Winston Churchill, Teddy Roosevelt, Lincoln, men who did the right thing regardless of the cost.
Integrity, real life experience working to support a family, and a true concern for the majority of the people, not just special interests. I will model Statesmanship instead of partisan politics that we see now.
I am hard working and I have worked with 1000's of different people as an insurance adjuster and a general contractor. I will listen and implement the best ideas, and I will create a forum and a space for us to work together and bring the truly excellent ideas forth.
I will work to come up with the best solutions for each law that is passed and will welcome the best solution regardless of which person or party brings this to the table. If we commit to do the best solutions together, we can see our country lead again in goodness and prosperity. I believe in a round table approach that in private we work with members of our party and the other parties to make sure we have vetted the best ideas and are bringing those to law.
To see kindness, goodness, a love of family and love of country and a love of God return to America.
I remember when we landed on the moon, I watched it at school when I was 6 in Colorado Springs
I was 16 when I had my 1st job as a bus boy in Sirloin Stockade in Amarillo, Texas. I worked this job for 1/2 a year at night
The Bible, because it was inspired by God.
I am a hopeful romantic. I will go with King Arthur, to see a round table built once again by the Good men and women in the West.
Take her home, by Kenny Chesney, as I have been blessed in May of 2024, to marry my new wonderful wife, Natalia dos Santos Adair.
I stepped forward to serve my country after my hardest personal loss of losing my 1st wife of 31 years 1 year ago. She would be proud that I chose to not wallow in self pity but turn this to an opportunity to serve others and my country so that our children can enjoy the blessings of freedom and liberty that I have enjoyed all my life.
The House of Representatives was initially created to be the primary decision making body. I will seek to restore preeminence to the weight of the U.S. House, the Executive Office over the last 200 years has taken on too much independence. The people's representatives are in the House and the Senate,
Character and real life experience on getting things accomplished is what is needed, and government lately has been so broken that I believe we need a group of people to serve who are not professional politicians but true servant leaders instead.
We must work together with each other, and not against each other. We have to see 1st Nations, Native Americans, given the respect and the opportunities to thrive, we must see African American Communities, given the respect and the opportunity to thrive and much of this will come from the private sector, but the government can offer tax incentives and grants to help these communities that had great historical injustices.
Yes a two year term for a representative is correct.
10 years for a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, 12 years for a member of the U.S. Senate as I have outlined above.
I truly admire George Washington's character's.
Thomas Jefferson's long term visions , and Teddy Roosevelt patriotism and fearlessness.
So many people I speak with are tired of partisan politics. I am a Christian 1st, American Second. I believe a faith in God and doing the right thing with God's help is the real American story and must be demonstrated in our time. This is what the people I speak with want to see again in government. This county was founded by men and women who believe as I do.
If the horse is dead, dismount
We need to implement the best solutions, I would prefer not to pass mediocre laws, but instead do the work to pass laws the 1st time that will serve the best interests of the most Americans possible.
As I have stated, I was to see a fair sales tax, that will ensure everyone pays the same rate and that we remove the strangle hold of the graduated tax system off of America and Kill the IRS and revitalize the entrepreneur in American
To hold each department of government accountable
Trey Taylor, a rising Nashville musician, Jerry Presley, in Branson from Jerry Presleys's God and Country theater 1000's of regular hard working people in Missouri whom I have contacted.
Defense, Transportation, Interior,
Transparency and accountability should be a given. The government is run by the people, through representatives, I will work to pass legislations for complete financial accountability.

Campaign website

Adair’s campaign website stated the following:

Doing What's Best
When I serve in Congress: 1. Commitment to Community and Nation
Taking care of our house, our families, our citizens, our veterans, and our Nation as what the Congress does as our FIRST PRIORITY every time. My job is to be a voice and an example representing how the people of Southwest Missouri live and ensuring we each have the tools, resources and infrastructure to truly thrive.
In Southwest Missouri, we have good cities where individuals, families and businesses thrive. Our farms, ranches and small towns are also full of good hard working American people. It is vital that both the rural communities and the cities of Southwest Missouri, continue to pursue excellence in our relationships and businesses. Then we must commit our time and resources to implement the best ideas that will serve our neighbors and those in need in Missouri and in our nation. Together we will be the ones who “Show Me” how it is supposed to be in America.

2. Term Limits
Championing legislation for TERM LIMITS. 10 years for a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, 12 years for a member of the U.S. Senate.

3. Fair Tax Legislation
Supporting and refining the Fair Tax Legislation concept that has been introduced by Representative Earl Carter from Georgia in Jan, 2023 to get a simpler and fairer tax system in America.
This legislation will allow all of us to pay the same rate on what we purchase, and eliminate personal, corporate, payroll, estate, gift and capital gains taxes and eliminate most tax filings. Once the tax received by Congress is tied to the GDP income we make as a nation, then each member of Congress will be properly motivated to make sure we thrive in our individual states, as then our government will only thrive as the nation thrives.

4. Securing Our National Borders
Securing our National Borders. We will fund and complete the Border wall in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California as the 1st priority, through technology and physical barriers secure the Canadian Border, and strengthening the Coast Guard to defend the Atlantic, Pacific and Gulf of Mexico Beaches. Our armed services need to be engaged as well on all our borders. Entry and Exit to our land must be legal.

5. Economic Re-Development
Championing legislation that will empower and impassion the economic redevelopment of America. We need to work together to make sure the best plans are implemented that will see small town America and our large cities thriving again in Southwest Missouri and across our nation.
We all are Americans and we now must rise together, or we will all fall together [2]
