John Baxter

John Baxter (1819-1886) was a federal judge on the United States Circuit Courts for the Sixth Circuit.

He was nominated by President Rutherford B. Hayes on December 6, 1877. He was confirmed by the Senate on December 13, 1877, and received commission that same day. He served until his death on April 2, 1886.
