John T. Bender (Republican Party) is a senior judge of the Pennsylvania Superior Court. He assumed office in 2023.
Bender ran for re-election for judge of the Pennsylvania Superior Court. He won in the retention election on November 2, 2021.
Biography
Education
Bender received his B.A. from the School of Journalism at Pennsylvania State University and his J.D. from Duquesne University School of Law in 1976.[1]
Career
Prior to joining the Superior Court, Bender was a judge on the Allegheny County Magisterial District from 1997 to 2002. Before that, he served as an assistant district attorney for Allegheny County. After Bender earned his J.D., he served as a law clerk for William R. Cercone and Rolf Larson. [1]
