Biography
John Black was born in Springfield, Missouri, and lives in Marshfield. Black graduated from Strafford High School. He earned a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering and engineering management from the University of Missouri-Rolla (now Missouri S&T) and a J.D. from the University of Missouri-Columbia. His career experience includes working as a chemical engineer and as an attorney for City Utilities in Springfield and for Southwest Missouri State University (now Missouri State). Black was a member of the Marshfield School Board and the Springfield Area Chamber Of Commerce.[1]
