Biography
John Braamse was born in L'Anse, Michigan. Braamse served in the U.S. Army from 1987 to 2012. He earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland in 2000. He earned a graduate degree from Central Michigan University in 2004. Braamse's career experience includes working as a special education aide. He has been affiliated with the American Legion.[1]

|- I support improving educator salaries and expanding public school options to allow 3 and 4 year old children to attend elementary school. I also believe that there should be 2 years of free college, vocational school or apprenticeships after high school graduation.
- The minimum wage should be high enough to support a family and be at least $15/hour with an annual cost of living allowance to keep pace with inflation.
- Investments in infrastructure help improve quality of life from cleaner water, better roads, faster internet speeds and a greener grid.
