John Broderick
John T. Broderick Jr. is the former Chief Justice of the New Hampshire Supreme Court. He was appointed to this court by Governor Merrill in 1995 and served as Chief Justice from June 4, 2004 until his retirement on November 30, 2010.[1][2]
Education
Broderick graduated Mangna Cum Laude from the College of the Holy Cross in 1969. He received his J.D. from the University of Virginia Law School in 1972.[1]
Professional Career
Following his admission to the bar Justice Broderick joined the law firm Devine, Millimet, Stahl & Branch from 1972 to 1989. Broderick opened his own law firm from 1989 to 1995. He joined the New Hampshire Supreme Court as an Associate Justice in 1995 and was appointed Chief Justice on June 4, 2004.[1] After retiring from the bench, Broderick became Dean and President of the University of New Hampshire School of Law.[3][1]
