John Burd
John A. Burd was a 2014 Libertarian candidate for District 107 of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.
Biography
Burd graduated from Shamokin Area High School in 1987. He then earned a degree from Penn State University. After college Burd earned certifications in data cabling, electrical installation, maintenance and repair. Burd worked to save the Victoria Theater in Shamokin. He is also a Board member of the Susquehanna Valley Libertarian Party.[1]
Elections
2014
Elections for the Pennsylvania House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on May 20, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 11, 2014. Incumbent Kurt Masser was unopposed in the Republican primary. Chris Pfaff (D) was removed from the ballot on April 2, 2014. Masser defeated Libertarian candidate John Burd in the general election.[2][3][4]
