John C. Geragosian is a former Democratic member of the Connecticut House of Representatives, representing District 25 from 1995 to 2011. Geragosian resigned to serve as a state auditor.[1] A special election was held February 22, 2011, to elect a replacement.[2] Prior to leaving the House, he served as majority caucus chair. He was an alderman for the City of New Britain from 1989 to 1993.

Geragosian's professional experience includes working as a realtor.

He is a member of the Democratic Town Committee of New Britain, Community Mental Health Affiliates Board, Greater Hartford Association of Realtors, Head Start Policy Council, Human Resources Agency, Marchigian Society, and the Saint George Greek Orthodox Church.[3]

Geragosian ran for re-election to the 25th District seat in 2010. He defeated Dennis Bryant (R) in the November 2 general election.

2008

On November 4, 2008, Geragosian won re-election to the Connecticut House of Representatives from Connecticut's 25th District, defeating Barbara Krajewski (R). Geragosian received 4,090 votes in the election while Krajewski received 916 votes.[4] Geragosian raised $30,117 for his campaign.[5]
