John C. Pridgen
John C. Pridgen was the chief judge of the 8th Superior Court Cordele Circuit of Georgia.[1] He was first appointed to the superior court by Governor Roy Barnes in 1999 and became chief judge in 2005. Pridgen retired from the bench in 2016.[2][3][4]
Biography
Pridgen received both his undergraduate and J.D. degrees from the University of Georgia in 1972 and 1975, respectively. Prior to becoming a superior court judge, he was a district attorney for the Cordele Judicial Circuit (1986-1999) and an attorney with the practice of Davis, Pridgen and Jones (1976-1986).[2]

Pridgen ran unopposed for re-election to the Cordele Superior Court.[5] He was re-elected after receiving 99.7 percent of the votes on July 31, 2012.[6]
