John C. Revens
John C. Revens was the Rhode Island Public Utilities Commissioner. He assumed office on March 29, 2021. He left office on December 1, 2024.
Gov. Gina Raimondo (D) appointed Revens to the commission on February 5, 2021, to succeed Marion Gold after her retirement. He assumed office on March 29, 2021, and left in December 2024.[1][2]
Revens is a former member of the Rhode Island House of Representatives, where he served from 1968 to 1974 and 1990 to 2008. He was also a state senator in the Rhode Island State Senate from 1974 to 1989. He served as the Senate majority leader from 1983 to 1989.[3]

Revens received an A.A. from the Community College of Rhode Island, a B.A. from Providence College, and a J.D. from Suffolk University Law School.
