John Chatburn
John Chatburn was a member of the Idaho Public Utilities Commission. He assumed office on January 10, 2022. He left office on January 9, 2023.
Gov. Brad Little (R) appointed Chatburn to the commission to replace Paul Kjellander, who retired in December 2021.[1]
Biography
Before joining the utilities commission, Chatburn served as the administrator of the Governor’s Office of Energy and Mineral Resources since 2014. He served as interim administrator for the department from 2011 to 2012 and as program services manager from 2009 to 2011. Chatburn was also a special assistant for Natural Resources and Energy under the administration of former Governor C.L. “Butch” Otter fro 2007 to 2009. He also served as deputy administrator in the Division of Animal Industries at the Idaho State Department of Agriculture from 1999 to 2007. He earned a B.A. in political science from Boise State University.[2]
