John Cooper (Texas)
John Cooper (Republican Party) ran for election to the U.S. House to represent Texas' 4th Congressional District. He lost in the Republican primary on March 6, 2018.
Cooper was a 2012 Republican candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 4th Congressional District of Texas.
Biography
John Cooper was born in Huge, Oklahoma, and lives in Texas. He earned a bachelor's degree in art and theology from Dallas Bible College in 1972, a master's degree in divinity from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1976, and a doctorate degree in ministry from Luther Rice Seminary in 1978. Cooper’s career experience includes working as a pastor and engineer. He is the president of Cooper Land Surveying Incorporated. Cooper previously served as the lieutenant governor of the Texas Oklahoma District, Division 32 of Kiwanis and was the chairman of the Construction Board of Adjustments for the city of Sulphur Springs.[1]
