Biography
Cornes attended Trezevant High School. He earned a bachelor's degree in business administration, with an emphasis in accounting, from LeMoyne-Owen College. His professional experience includes working as a senior accountant at Methodist Lebonheur Healthcare Corporation and as a licensed affiliate real estate broker with Keller Williams Realty. He completed the City of Memphis Diversity Developer program in 2008.[1]

Cheers, Donnell Cobbins, John Cornes, Adrian Jones, Louis Matthew Morganfield, III, Jamita E. Swearengen, George Walker faced off in the general election on October 8, 2015. Incumbent Wanda Halbert did not run for re-election.[4] A runoff between DeBerry-Bradshaw and Swearengen took place on November 19, 2015.[5]
