A husband, father, veteran, lifelong resident and dedicated community servant for over 15 years. I am a graduate of Cranston Public schools, I continued on to receive a masters in business administration from Providence College. I am married to an amazing woman who is also a lifelong resident and graduate of public schools. I have 2 boys attending Park View and Cranston West. I have coached basketball in Cranston for 19 years and have been on the board of the local little league for 12 years serving as President for the last 8. I believe that my call to service is something I was meant to do and I have been looking for ways to reach more people and do more good for my fellow neighbors.
  • I believe in access to quality public education for our children. In addition working to improve our schools by providing them with better resources to give the best education to our children. I believe as part of that education our children need better access to extracurricular activities. I care greatly about building and strengthening our community and think one of the best ways to do that is through sports and recreation. Having access to quality options for sports and recreation will allow our children to engage with other active children and bring the community together for games and events.
  • Access to affordable healthcare is a right, not a privilege. I will be fighting for comprehensive healthcare reform to lower costs, expand coverage, and improve the quality of care. I believe in protecting pre-existing condition coverage and making prescription drugs more affordable. My family has been fortunate to get some of the best care around when we needed it most. I will focus on making sure more people get the care needed, but also that the people that provide that care are given the tools they need and compensated appropriately for the amazing and carting work they perform.
  • In every neighborhood, there are small businesses that serve as the heartbeat of our community. These are the places where we gather, share stories, and make memories. Many of these businesses are owned and operated by our friends and family. Having lived in Cranston my whole life and being a 3rd generation resident has created deep ties to this local business. Family-owned businesses are what makes Rhode Island special, and I want to focus on initiatives that will encourage the creation of new ones and foster the existing ones.
I am also passionate about veteran care. As a patient of the VA health system, I want to ensure that my fellow veterans have access to the best health care and mental health options available. I want to include more options for mental health care creating groups that will support veterans and provide them with opportunities to give back. Community service saved me when I returned from combat and I want to provide more areas where that greater purpose can provide other veterans with focus and meaning.
To me reason is the principle most important. I feel that as information is provided on issues officials need to take an reasoned approach and come up with best solution.
