Elections for the Massachusetts House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election was held on September 9, 2014, and a general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 3, 2014. Michelle DuBois defeated Paul Beckner and Peggy Curtis in the Democratic primary. John Cruz defeated Colleen Maloney in the Republican primary. DuBois defeated Cruz and unenrolled candidate Tyler Jay Prescott in the general election.[2]

Cruz ran for election to the Tenth Plymouth seat in 2010. He had no primary opposition. He was defeated by Christine Canavan (D) in the general election on November 2, 2010.
