John D. Ackerman was a district judge of Iowa District 3B. He was appointed to this position in 1997.[1] Ackerman retired and assumed senior status in December 2017.[2]

Biography

Ackerman received his B.S. in 1979 from Morningside College. He earned his J.D. from the University of Iowa in 1982.[1]

From 1982 until his appointment to the bench in 1997, he worked for the Heidman Law Firm in Sioux City.[1]
