John D. Gardner was an Oklahoma associate district judge for Pottawatomie County, which is located in District 23. He first joined the court in January 1991, and he retired in July 2015.[1][2]

At Gardner's retirement party in 2015, District Judge John Canavan said that no other judge in the county had served a longer tenure as associate judge.[2]

Gardner ran for re-election to the 23rd District Court.
As an unopposed candidate, he was automatically re-elected without appearing on the ballot. [3]

Gardner was re-elected to the district court after running unopposed.[4]
