Ed Montanari
Ed Montanari was a member of the St. Petersburg City Council in Florida, representing District 3. He assumed office on January 7, 2016. He left office on January 2, 2025.
Montanari (Republican Party) ran for election to the Florida House of Representatives to represent District 60. He lost in the general election on November 5, 2024.
Biography
Montanari graduated from St. Petersburg's Northeast High School in 1977. He went on to earn a B.S. from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 1981.[1] He served as an air operations officer in the U.S. Air Force from 1979 to 1980, as an F-16 pilot in the U.S. Air Force from 1981 to 1989, and as a Boeing 777 pilot for American Airlines.[1]

2015
The city of St. Petersburg, Florida, held elections for city council on November 3, 2015. Because only one candidate filed to run, the primary election scheduled for August 25, 2015, was called off. The filing deadline for candidates who wished to run in this election was June 22, 2015. Four of the eight city council seats were up for election. In District 3, Ed Montanari won election without opposition. Incumbent Bill Dudley did not run for re-election.[2]
