John E. Elliff
John E. Elliff is a judge of the Colorado 2nd Judicial District. His current term ends on January 12, 2027.
Elliff ran for re-election for judge of the Colorado 2nd Judicial District. He won in the retention election on November 3, 2020.
Elliff was appointed by Governor Bill Ritter in 2010 and was later retained by voters in 2014.[1] His six-year term was set to expire on January 11, 2021.[2]
Biography
Education
Elliff received his undergraduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis in 1984 and his J.D. from the University of Colorado School of Law in 1987.[1]
Career
Prior to his judicial appointment in 2010, Elliff spent his legal career in private practice.[1]
