John Ellis Martineau (1873-1937) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas.

He was nominated by President Calvin Coolidge on March 2, 1928 to replace Jacob Trieber.[1] He was confirmed by the Senate and received commission that same day. He served until his death on March 6, 1937. Martineau was succeeded in this position by Thomas Trimble.
