John Evans (Pennsylvania)
John Evans (b. February 15, 1955) was a Republican member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, representing District 5 from 2001 to 2012.
Evans earned his B.A. in Speech Communications and his M.A. in Communication Studies from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in 1984 and 1999, respectively.
From 1980 to 2000, Evans worked as a reporter for WJET-TV of Erie, Pennsylvania. He has also worked as a communications specialist for Eric Insurance Group.

On November 4, 2008, Evans won re-election to the 5th District seat of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives with 16,766 votes, defeating Democrat John Alward (9,073).[2]
Evans raised $124,965 for his campaign, while Alward raised $2,964.[3]
