John F. Dugger, Jr.
John F. Dugger, Jr. is a criminal court judge for the Third Judicial District in Tennessee. The court presides over Greene, Hamblen, Hancock, and Hawkins counties. He was elected to the court on August 3, 2006, and re-elected on August 7, 2014. His current eight-year term ends in 2022.[1][2][3][4]

Education
Dugger received his undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee in 1982 and his J.D. degree from the Samford University Cumberland School of Law in 1987.[2]
Career
Dugger began his career in 1987 as an associate for the law firm of Bacon, Dugger, Jesse & Perkins. He then served as an assistant district attorney for the 3rd Judicial District from 1989 to 2000 and as a sole practitioner running his own firm from 2000 to 2006. He was then elected to the Third Judicial District Criminal Court.[2]
